I. Overview The R7731 is a high-performance, low-cost, current-mode PWM controller with low inrush current, featuring burst‑mode operation to support energy‑saving green‑mode operation. It integrates functions such as soft start, undervoltage lockout (UVLO), leading edge blanking (LEB), overtemperature protection (OTP), and internal slope compensation, providing users with an efficient, low‑component‑count, and cost‑effective solution for AC/DC power supply applications. To prevent damage to the external power MOSFET caused by power supply overvoltage, the R7731’s output driver is clamped at 12 V. Additionally, it offers multiple protection features, including overload protection (OLP) and overvoltage protection (OVP), eliminating the need for external protection circuits and ensuring reliable operation. The device is packaged in SOT‑23‑6. II. Application Areas The R7731 is suitable for applications such as ATX standby power supplies, set-top boxes (STBs), DVD and CD(R) players, TV/monitor standby power supplies, PC peripherals, and more.
