Chen Xi pointed out that Xi Jinping’s Thought on Culture is a theoretical synthesis of the Party’s practical experience in leading cultural development in the new era; it has enriched and advanced Marxist cultural theory, forming the cultural dimension of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era. This thought provides a powerful ideological tool and a scientific guide for carrying out propaganda, ideological, and cultural work in the new era and on the new journey, and for shouldering the new cultural mission. It also contributes Chinese wisdom to forging a new form of human civilization and to guiding the development and progress of world civilizations. Leading cadres must, from the political standpoint of deeply understanding the decisive significance of the “two establishments” and resolutely upholding the “two safeguards,” comprehensively and systematically deepen their study of the rich connotations and practical requirements of this important thought, and uphold the principle of cultivating oneself through culture and nourishing the heart with virtue. They must translate the fruits of their learning into concrete achievements in their work, earnestly implement the CPC Central Committee’s decisions and arrangements on cultural development, and strive to demonstrate fresh momentum and make new contributions in the endeavor to build a strong socialist culture and to forge a modern civilization of the Chinese nation.
