Launch the Ninth National Selection and Commendation Campaign for Ethical Role Models

BEIJING, Nov. 19 (Xinhua) — In order to vigorously cultivate and practice the core socialist values, promote traditional Chinese virtues, and foster a new ethos for our times, the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee, the Office of Spiritual Civilization Construction of the CPC Central Committee, the All-China Federation of Trade Unions, the Communist Youth League Central Committee, the All-China Women’s Federation, and the Political Work Department of the Central Military Commission have recently issued the “Notice on the Selection and Commendation of the Ninth National Role Models of Morality” (the full text is attached separately) along with its implementation measures. These documents set forth plans to launch the selection and commendation process for the ninth cohort of national role models of morality, calling for extensive campaigns to study and publicize these role models, guiding the public to admire, learn from, and strive to become role models themselves, thereby fostering a robust social atmosphere characterized by moral excellence, emulation of the virtuous, and a commitment to cultivating virtue in all aspects of life.
